"Sisters" by me, again

My third time sharing some poetry of my own. This one was inspired by Arya and Sansa's reunion from the 'Game of Thrones' - yes, I am an ASOIAF nerd :)

This is basically the scene that inspired the poem - two sisters finally meeting again after being separated for years.

Here we stand at last, after so many years.
I've gone my way, and I know you've gone yours,
We have both been through something that made us feel weak,
Something that, in the end, only made us more strong.

We both bear the memories hard to erase,
We both have the past that we can't quite let go,
We have both been away, alone, afraid -
And now we have finally come back home.

It's been hard for you, it's been hard for me,
But because we stand here means that we’ve both survived,
We've both grown into something we were meant to be,
And I hope we've grown out of our childish spite.
